Location: New York
A global investment management firm is seeking a Real Asset Investment Associate to support a rapidly expanding real assets portfolio across the U.S. and Europe. This role offers hands-on exposure to institutional real asset investing, including real estate, infrastructure, and agriculture, within a highly collaborative and international investment team.
The Associate will support portfolio monitoring, investment research, fund diligence, and ESG initiatives, while working closely with colleagues in New York, London, and Tokyo.
ResponsibilitiesProduce and manage monthly and quarterly portfolio reporting to monitor investment performance
Prepare real asset and macroeconomic research for presentation to senior management
Assist with investment due diligence for real-asset-focused commingled funds
Participate in manager meetings and on-site visits, including touring representative assets
Support the operations team in managing investment-related activities
Contribute to the implementation and measurement of ESG initiatives across the portfolio
Maintain frequent communication with global offices, including London and Tokyo
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Bachelor’s degree required;
Finance, Real Estate, or a related field preferred2–3 years of relevant experience in real assets at an institutional investor, investment consultant, or investment manager
(e.g., insurance company, pension fund, endowment, foundation, sovereign wealth fund, or family office)
Foundational understanding of financial metrics and investment concepts
Experience interacting professionally with senior investment professionals
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
Experience with Excel Macros is a plus
Working experience with Power BI, including report development using DAX and Power Query, preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a collaborative global environment
Flexible team player with the ability to adapt to change
