Deputy BSA/AML Officer – U.S. Financial Crime Compliance
Location: New York.
The RoleWe’re seeking a seasoned compliance leader to serve as Deputy BSA/AML Officer. This role partners closely with the U.S. BSA Officer to build and enhance a best‑in‑class AML/CTF program in a global payment's environment. You’ll balance strategic leadership with hands‑on oversight of investigations, regulatory readiness, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Lead complex investigations and oversee SAR filings
- Conduct enhanced due diligence for high‑risk merchants and partners
- Drive partner and third‑party risk assessments
- Support regulatory exams, audits, and remediation initiatives
- Deliver AML training and foster a culture of compliance
- Align U.S. program with global operations
- 10+ years in AML, financial crime, or regulatory compliance
- Worked for a payment company
- Proven success in investigations and SAR oversight
- Strong knowledge of AML risks in payments/fintech
- Experience scaling compliance programs in high‑growth or multinational firms
- CAMS or equivalent certification preferred
- Excellent communication, judgment, and executive presence
