Job Title:
Royalty Analyst / Accounts Receivable
About The Role Seeking a Royalty Analyst/AR to support its portfolio of owned and licensed brands. This role will be heavily focused on royalty accounting, licensee reporting, and accounts receivable management across a high-volume, multi-licensee environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable managing complex royalty structures, and experienced working with licensing partners across multiple categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full royalty accounting process across a large portfolio of licensed brands, including review, validation, and reconciliation of licensee royalty reports
- Ensure royalties are calculated accurately in accordance with licensing agreements, including rates, guarantees, advances, and deductions
- Track and manage accounts receivable related to royalties, including billing, collections, and follow-up with licensees
- Review licensee sales data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contract terms
- Prepare and issue royalty statements, invoices, and related supporting schedules
- Partner with internal legal, brand management, and finance teams to interpret contract terms and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor minimum guarantees, recoupments, shortfalls and overages
- Support royalty audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests
- Maintain organized records and documentation for all licensing and royalty activity
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability as the business grows
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in royalty management and licensing
- Prior experience in brand management, licensing, apparel, consumer products, or IP-driven businesses strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of royalty structures, licensing agreements, and licensee reporting
- Strong Excel skills
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- Comfortable managing high volumes of data across multiple brands and partners
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Proactive, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, in-office environment
Salary $90,000
