We’re partnering with a well-established specialist financial services recruitment firm (10+ years in the market) that works closely with boutique investment banks, private equity firms, asset managers, and institutional investors globally.

The business is already highly successful across Early Careers, Private Equity, and C-Suite mandates, running retained projects with leading investment banks and investors.

Now, they’re looking to build out their M&A / Middle Market desk in New York. So Analysts/ Associate with 2-3 years’ experience looking for a new Investment Banking role (and you’d be the first person in the US to sit in this desk).

• You’ll work directly with the Director who leads both Early Careers and Private Equity, leveraging existing, high-quality client relationships to build out the middle-market M&A offering.
• The longer-term plan is to spin this desk into its own dedicated M&A team, with you positioned as the founding hire- the first M&A recruiter in the NYC office.

• Warm, credible client relationships already in place which are currently being under served rather than untapped
• A genuine focus on quality over volume: strategic headhunting, not CV-spamming
• Exposure to boutique investment banks, PE funds, and middle-market clients not currently owned internally
• Full autonomy to shape how the desk, and future team, is built

• Firmwide average billings of ~$800k, with multiple $1m+ billers
• Every consultant with 18+ months’ experience is billing $400k+
• Commission up to 50% plus long-term incentive plans
