Location: New York

We are partnered with a global investment banking advisory firm seeking a Product Analyst to support its Private Capital Advisory (PCA) and Advisory franchises. This is a front-office aligned role within the Investment Banking technology organization, embedded directly in the live deal environment. The position partners closely with Managing Directors, deal teams, and sponsor coverage to deliver product capabilities that support origination, execution, and capital raising across Private Equity, Private Credit, Infrastructure, and Growth Capital.

This is a delivery-oriented role focused on translating how bankers operate into practical, production-ready enhancements that directly impact deal flow and investor engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Partner directly with PCA and Advisory MDs, VPs, and Associates to understand deal, sponsor, and investor workflows
  • Translate banker feedback into clear functional requirements and detailed user stories
  • Support tools and workflows across:
  • Private Equity sponsor coverage
  • Deal pipeline visibility and prioritization
  • Investor targeting and outreach tracking
  • Allocation tracking and capital raise reporting
  • Own requirements through build, testing, and release in partnership with Engineering, UX, and Data teams
  • Define and validate KPIs related to sponsor engagement, deal progression, and investor responsiveness
  • Iterate quickly based on real-time deal feedback
Qualifications
  • 6–8 years of experience in:
  • Investment Banking Advisory or Private Capital Advisory, or
  • Product/Technology roles embedded within PCA, Advisory, or Private Equity coverage teams
Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Private Equity sponsor coverage models
  • Capital raising processes and investor dynamics
  • Full advisory deal lifecycle from origination through closing
  • Hands-on experience with front-office systems (CRM, deal tracking, investor outreach platforms)
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality requirements under tight timelines
  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgment in high-pressure, transaction-driven environments
  • Credible front-office presence with ability to work directly with senior bankers
  • Comfortable operating independently in a contractor capacity
