Day-to-Day Responsibilities Market & Sector Research

Conduct in-depth industry, sub-sector, and market research to identify attractive investment themes

Develop market maps outlining key players, customer segments, value chains, and consolidation dynamics

Track macro, regulatory, and secular trends impacting target industries

Investment Intelligence & Opportunity Identification

Support sourcing efforts through data-driven market intelligence and target identification

Analyze business models, revenue drivers, unit economics, and competitive positioning

Screen potential investment opportunities for strategic and market fit

Analytical & Financial Support

Build high-level financial analyses to contextualize market opportunities and company performance

Analyze KPIs, growth drivers, margin structures, and scalability considerations

Support valuation analysis using comparable companies and precedent transactions

Provide market and competitive analysis during diligence processes

Synthesize findings into clear insights, risks, and opportunity assessments

Prepare market sections of investment memos and presentation materials

Communicate data-backed perspectives to senior investment professionals

Ongoing Intelligence & Portfolio Support

Monitor industry performance and competitive developments relevant to portfolio companies

Support portfolio teams with market insights, benchmarking, and strategic analysis

Contribute to research supporting add-on acquisitions and exit positioning
