Position OverviewToll International is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey’s Capital Planning initiatives. This role will focus on financial reporting, capital plan coordination, budget analysis, project controls support, and executive-level reporting for large-scale infrastructure programs. The selected candidate will play a key role in monitoring project spending, maintaining financial databases, evaluating variances, and supporting agency-wide capital planning processes.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and possesses advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, strong communication abilities, and the capability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously. This position requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, project teams, and leadership to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and effective capital planning support.
Key Responsibilities- Update and maintain project cost, spending, commitments, schedule, and capital planning data within Excel trackers and reporting systems.
- Perform detailed financial analyses, including variance analysis, forecasting, trend analysis, and what-if scenario modeling.
- Support onboarding of projects into the Capital Plan, including coordination with stakeholders and facilitation of charge code setup.
- Coordinate review and tracking of authorization documents to ensure compliance with approved Capital Plans and annual budgets.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex Excel templates, databases, and automated reporting tools for large user groups.
- Prepare executive-level reports, summaries, dashboards, and presentations related to capital spending and project performance.
- Identify drivers of over- and under-spending and provide recommendations to management and stakeholders.
- Lead coordination efforts related to annual capital budget package preparation and executive review processes.
- Manage project prioritization and scoring processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and manage Microsoft SharePoint sites, files, and reporting documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, financial teams, and agency stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
