Location: New York

We are seeking a dedicated Student Loan Coach to guide individuals through the complexities of student loan management. This role involves educating clients on repayment options, financial planning, and strategies to achieve their financial goals while managing student debt. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and analytical skills, with a passion for empowering others.

Responsibilities

Provide personalized one‑on‑one coaching to clients regarding their student loan portfolios.

Educate clients on various federal and private student loan repayment plans, including income‑driven repayment and consolidation options.

Assist clients in developing realistic budgets and financial plans to manage student loan payments effectively.

Analyze client financial situations to recommend appropriate student loan repayment strategies.

Stay current with federal and state regulations pertaining to student loans and financial aid.

Maintain accurate and confidential client records and track progress towards financial goals.

Collaborate with financial institutions and relevant agencies to resolve client‑specific loan issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial advising, credit counseling, or student loan servicing/management.

In‑depth knowledge of federal student loan programs (e.g., Direct Loans, FFEL) and repayment options.

Proficiency in financial analysis and budgeting tools.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.

Ability to explain complex financial information clearly and concisely.

Certification from a recognized credit counseling or financial coaching organization is a plus.
