Overview
A career in our Financial Services Tax practice, within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business.
In this role you will advise clients on local and overseas tax affairs, act as a strategic consultant for business analysis, manage working capital and partner profit sharing. You will also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties and the tax implications of deals.
Responsibilities- Advise clients on local and overseas tax affairs, working as a strategic consultant for business analysis, working capital management and partner profit sharing.
- Provide guidance on the pricing implications of inter‑company transactions and on the tax consequences of deals.
- Assist clients with tax structuring and address challenges in the continuously changing tax environment, both locally and globally.
- Support capital requirement compliance, operational tax risk management and investment decisions in different jurisdictions.
- Leverage technology, automation and digitization: experiment with new technologies, build data models, use data‑visualisation tools and identify efficiencies.
- Prepare concise, accurate documents for client engagements, manage project economics, and keep leadership informed of progress and issues.
- Participate in client meetings, communicate firm services, monitor team workloads and maintain quality relationships.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in tax.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of tax issues affecting the banking industry (domestic or international) or public‑accounting practices.
- Proven record in FAS 109, FIN 48 and banking‑industry tax matters.
- Experience managing engagements, preparing documents, balancing project economics and dealing with unanticipated issues.
- Strong analytical and research skills; ability to develop a point of view on business and industry trends.
- Preferred: CPA licensure or commitment to pass the CPA exam before promotion to manager, or membership in the bar.
Up to 20%.
Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $77,000 – $214,000. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
