Senior Fund Accountant

Senior Portfolio Accountant - Real Estate Systems Implementation Group (RESIG)

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our Real Estate Systems Implementation Group (RESIG) where you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive financial services to real estate private fund clients.

• Contribute to a team covering one or more client relationships.
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheet, statement of investments, statement of operations, statement of cash flows, and notes.
• Prepare general-ledger and work-paper files for accuracy and completeness, covering capital activity, investment activity, income and expense accruals.
• Prepare partner capital reports including partner P&L.
• Calculate monthly interest accruals, management fees and capital allocations.
• Calculate capital call and distribution notices, sources/uses of cash, and investor notices.
• Reconcile cash balances daily for multiple accounts.
• Calculate quarter-end final and estimated NAVs.
• Support the year-end audit process in collaboration with the team, client and auditors.
• Train and mentor junior staff.

• Basic:
  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent; 3+ years of fund accounting or assurance experience with financial services clients (hedge funds, private equity, alternative asset managers preferred).
• Preferred:
  Prior experience at a public accounting firm; CPA or CPA candidate; master's degree in Accounting or related field; experience using Yardi and/or MRI.
