Leads accounting and controllership across the Americas, ensuring accurate, compliant financials. Acts as a strategic advisor on accounting matters, including IFRS 15 revenue recognition, while enforcing a robust SOX/JSOX control environment.
JOB DUTIES- Oversees all core accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, tax, and related reporting, ensuring robust processes, accuracy, and scalability across the organization
- Ensures compliance with JSOX requirements, including the design, implementation, and monitoring of effective internal controls over financial reporting, and partnering with internal audit to maintain a strong control environment
- Leads the end-to-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliations and controls, to deliver timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting
- Establishes and continuously improves accounting methodologies, processes, and timelines to enhance reporting quality, efficiency, and business insight
- Provides strong leadership and direction to the controlling team, setting clear objectives, driving accountability, and fostering a high-performance culture
- Oversees internal and external audit processes (monthly, quarterly, and annual), partnering with auditors and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes and compliance
- Advises the business on revenue recognition for client contracts in accordance with IFRS 15, ensuring appropriate interpretation of commercial terms, consistent application across all service lines, and compliance with accounting standards
- Reviews and approves accounting policies, procedures, and controls, leveraging deep technical expertise to ensure alignment with global standards and regulatory requirements
- Supports and leads training across the business on accounting policies and controls, driving awareness, consistency, and compliance across all functions
- Provides accounting leadership across complex, multi-service environments, ensuring appropriate treatment and consistency across all business lines
- Leads talent development across the controllership organization, including coaching, mentoring, and succession planning
