Aboutthe Role
As part of the continued expansion of our Private Investing capabilities, we are recruiting an IGPC Deal Lead to join the Investment Grade Private Credit team. The role requires demonstrated experience executing complex structured and asset‑backed private placements, including collateral analysis, structural review, cash‑flow modelling, and legal documentation assessment. The Deal Lead will originate and evaluate investment opportunities, conduct in‑depth due diligence, develop investment recommendations, and oversee credits through their lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the senior investment team across all aspects of the deal process: originating, underwriting, structuring, executing, and monitoring globally sourced privately placed debt securities.
- Leverage an established network across banks, sponsors, advisors, and issuers to drive differentiated deal flow.
- Oversee portfolio monitoring, assess structural performance, covenant compliance, and support strategic investment decisions in partnership with legal teams.
- Participate in the ongoing portfolio monitoring and assessment of structural performance and covenant compliance.
- Strong analytical acumen, financial modelling, research, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, well‑supported investment recommendations.
- Fundamental‑thematic, research‑driven approach to underwriting asset‑backed structures and a highly analytical and detailed execution style.
- Experience with portfolio management, amendments, and potential restructurings.
- Superior collaboration and influencing skills; ability to build and maintain relationships with issuers, industry contacts, financing partners, and internal teams.
- Effective verbal and written communication; ability to contribute to an open investment dialogue.
- Intellectual curiosity, differentiated thinking, growth mindset, and comfort with a global perspective.
- A minimum of 7 years of buy‑ or sell‑side experience in structured finance private debt or credit research, focusing on structured and asset‑backed securities.
- Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or accounting (preferred).
- Strong bottom‑up fundamental research approach and demonstrated expertise in using AI tools to accelerate market, industry, and issuer research.
- Established network in the private debt and structured credit ecosystem with issuers, industry peers, and financing partners.
- Track record of developing, negotiating, and monitoring bespoke covenants.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and make decisions in uncertain circumstances.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, independence of thought, and global perspective.
- Willingness to travel as required.

CompensationBase salary range: USD 120,000 – 225,000. Compensation also includes variable pay and benefits. Base salary is only one component of the total compensation approach.

Employees work from our offices four days a week and have the flexibility to work remotely one day a week.
