Job Overview
The Large/ Mid Cap Biopharma Equity Research team is seeking an Equity Research Analyst or Associate with a well‑rounded pedigree in life science and finance. The role offers direct exposure to a top‑three ranked Institutional Investor analyst and expanding coverage across large‑cap pharma, with responsibilities spanning fundamental research, financial modeling, policy analysis, and industry‑related litigation.
Responsibilities- Write industry and company research reports, including earnings results, forward‑looking thematic pieces, and event‑driven updates.
- Build and maintain financial models and drug category market models.
- Analyze industry macro trends and company financial results.
- Build relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companies.
- Seek out new, value‑added and/or unusual sources of information.
- Monitor news flow and proactively flag stock‑impacting developments, particularly when the Senior Analyst is traveling.
- Communicate the team’s investment recommendations to sales, trading and institutional investor clients.
This position requires in‑office presence 4 days per week.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience; advanced degree in life science discipline or relevant industry‑experience is a plus.
- 1‑4 years of experience in biopharma equity research, buy‑side experience or investment banking experience.
- Strong writing and financial modeling skills.
- Demonstrated interest in public equity markets and fundamental research.
- Academic background in a life science field and understanding of economics, macroeconomic factors and policy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities while contributing in a highly collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
- Strong desire to be a team player and view the team’s success as a reflection of individual success.
Shift: 1st shift (United States of America). Hours per week: 40. Pay range: $70,000 - $175,000 annualized salary, determined based on experience, education and skill set.
