Job Overview

The role focuses on serving high-net‑worth clients with annual revenues of $100k‑$5mm, identifying needs, developing relationships, reviewing investment goals, and preparing recommendations that align with client objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored, personalized advice to clients through reviews and presentations, assessing financial goals and recommending investment advisory strategies.
  • Communicate solutions appropriate for clients, such as core banking, investment, and life‑priority solutions.
  • Collaborate with Financial Advisor teams to share market developments and new product information, thereby promoting portfolio growth.
  • Leverage the full breadth of bank resources to benefit clients and prospects.
  • Build and sustain a book of business that meets and exceeds predefined financial targets, progressing toward advisory career milestones.
  • Prioritize client requests and refer appropriate internal service providers based on client needs and asset thresholds.
  • Utilize technology to achieve business growth goals and profile activities to determine a client’s investor profile and financial resource objectives.
  • Maintain SAFE Act registration, complete background checks, and remain in good standing; non‑compliance may result in disciplinary action or termination.
Advisor Development Program (ADP) Journey

The Merrill Financial Solutions Advisor (MFSA) program provides training, mentorship, and a structured path to becoming an independent financial advisor. Early stages cover relationship management, marketing, and developing practice skills, while later sections offer growth in client advisory, portfolio management, and leadership opportunities.

Required Qualifications
  • Current Series7 and Series
    66 (or Series
    63 and 65 in lieu of 66) licenses.
  • Minimum two years of experience in the financial service industry, with a proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • At least one year of investment industry experience, including training and in‑depth knowledge of investment products and services.
  • Self‑starter with efficient time and capacity management; goal‑oriented mindset.
  • Strong relationship building, collaboration, and confident communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate complexity, prioritize tasks, and execute in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Commitment to regulatory due diligence and ethical client practices.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proven lead‑generation and partnership skills.
  • Balance of investment management, sales activities, and new client development.
  • Advanced computer and multitasking skills in demanding environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field.
  • Additional certifications such as CFP and/or CRPC.
