Overview

Investment Banking to Private Equity Analyst roles support deal execution, investment analysis, and buy‑side transaction processes. Ideal for candidates developing private equity‑ready skill sets, including LBO modeling, investment diligence, and portfolio analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support M&A and leveraged buyout transactions from both sell‑side and buy‑side perspectives
  • Build and maintain advanced financial models, including LBO, DCF, operating models, and scenario analyses
  • Conduct investment diligence, including business, financial, and market analysis
  • Analyze potential acquisition targets, investment opportunities, and portfolio company performance
  • Prepare investment memoranda, IC materials, and client presentations
  • Support due diligence processes, including data room review, Q&A tracking, and third‑party coordination
  • Assist with valuation analyses, return modeling, and capital structure assessments
  • Collaborate with senior bankers, PE professionals, and deal teams throughout the transaction lifecycle
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline
  • Strong interest in private equity, leveraged buyouts, and principal investing
  • Advanced skills in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction analysis
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
  • Prior internship or experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or consulting is highly beneficial
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research platforms (e.g., Capital IQ, Pitch Book, Fact Set)
