Summer Associate – NB Private Equity – based in New York. The role is part of NB’s Global Secondary Private Equity team, which manages over $24billion of commitments and focuses on complex secondary and GP‑led transactions.
Responsibilities- Screening and conducting due diligence on secondary private equity investment opportunities.
- Performing in‑depth research and financial analysis on companies and assets from various stages, sectors, and geographies.
- Preparing due diligence materials, screening and investment committee memos.
- Interacting with external parties—including private equity sponsors, industry experts, and investment bankers—as well as internal stakeholders to enhance due diligence insights and identify new opportunities.
- Monitoring and analyzing the firm’s existing investments.
- Currently enrolled or graduating in an MBA program in Winter
2026 or Summer
2027. - Excellent academic credentials and GPA.
- At least four years of professional experience in top‑tier investment banking and/or private equity; buy‑side experience strongly preferred.
- Strong judgment, critical thinking and written skills; ability to articulate and present ideas effectively.
- Show initiative and creativity in problem‑solving; demonstrated research experience and collaboration.
- Ability to multi‑task with fine‑tuned attention to detail.
- Team‑player attitude and willingness to work on a wide range of projects.
Visa sponsorship may be available for qualified candidates, subject to company policy and applicable laws.
Compensation
:
Salary range $185,000–$185,000. The firm may offer a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement contributions, and life insurance.
