About the Team
Grindr is an AI-native platform powering how millions of gay people connect globally. With 15M+ monthly users, 130B+ annual messages, and a team of fewer than 200, we move fast, stay lean, and tackle technical problems at a scale few companies ever see.
Grindr is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting to lead our public‑company reporting function. This is a role for a true subject matter expert who has navigated complex technical accounting matters and SEC reporting in a fast‑paced environment — someone who understands how to design, implement, and manage financial reporting processes that scale with the business.
You’ll own the preparation and delivery of accurate, timely SEC filings, define accounting policies for sophisticated transactions, and ensure financial statements and disclosures meet the highest standards of rigor and transparency.
As an integral member of the monthly close process, you'll partner closely with the broader accounting team to drive timely, accurate close cycles and ensure technical accounting decisions are reflected appropriately in the financial statements. In this capacity, you will also act as a key member of finance leadership, contributing to strategic priorities, cross‑functional initiatives, and the overall direction of the finance organization.
You’ll play a central role in shaping our financial close and reporting cadence, bringing structure, consistency, and accountability to technical accounting decisions, internal controls, and collaboration with external auditors. This position is foundational to the company’s financial integrity and investor confidence, and you’ll have the opportunity to power a high‑performing team, influence cross‑functional partners, and make a measurable impact on how we close, report, and communicate our results.
This is a hybrid role based in our New York office and will require you to be in person Tuesdays and Thursdays.
