Senior Financial Analyst

Primary Purpose

The Sr. Financial Analyst has the lead day-to-day responsibility for managing and controlling O&M and capital costs, supporting accurate planning, reporting and analysis of operations, and handling ad‑hoc requests to inform executive and managerial decisions.

• Provide financial analysis and reporting for management on major capital and O&M cost drivers; forecast performance against goals, plans and budgets.
• Lead monthly financial closing (pre‑ and post‑close work) and deliver all required reporting to corporate center and site management.
• Develop the long‑range financial plan.
• Review and process capital and other project request proposals; monitor and report on project spend.
• Perform cost reporting and tracking planning.
• Conduct periodic ad‑hoc reporting and analyses.
• Mentor junior financial analysts, overseeing work product and providing training and guidance.
• Execute complex special projects at management’s request.

• 4‑year degree in a business‑related field with 5 to 8 years of business‑related experience, demonstrating success in finance or business operations.
• Effective financial analysis skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial metrics and statement relationships.
• Understanding of business operations and industry practices.
• Proficiency in computer‑based analytical tools (e.g., Access, Excel, PowerPoint, database management).

• MBA or CPA
• Expertise in People Soft and related financial systems

Expected salary range: $97,200 to $108,000, varying by experience.
