Location: New York

Henderson Harbor Tax was established in 2009 as a specialized tax placement division of Henderson Harbor Group. Over the past 16 years, HHTax has successfully leveraged our vast network of tax professionals and our targeted industry knowledge to successfully advise careers and place professionals at every level from Tax Associates to Chief Tax Officers, and Tax Partners, in both private industry and public accounting.

We service our clients primarily in the New York Metro area, as well as nationally through our AAFA network (45 financial staffing affiliates throughout the U.S. and Canada).

One of our global entertainment/sports clients in New York City is looking to add a Tax Analyst to their tax team. The right candidate will be an integral part of the tax compliance and tax accounting process and become a key member within the finance department.

Location: This is a hybrid position located in NYC, local candidates only.

Compensation: up to $100k + Bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Compile, assess, and manage documentation required for external tax preparers.
  • Collaborate regularly with internal teams to gather essential financial and operational data.
  • Conduct in-depth evaluations of tax documents, filings, and extensions, ensuring timely and accurate submission across all jurisdictions.
  • Generate periodic income and excise tax filings for various domestic and global regions.
  • Support compliance efforts related to international entities, including operations in Canada, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, as well as broader cross-border tax obligations.
  • Address and bring closure to ongoing tax audits at municipal, state, and federal levels.
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA certification preferred; MST is a plus.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a public accounting tax role.
  • Solid grasp of tax research concepts with broad exposure to partnership tax compliance and tax accounting.
  • Familiarity with state and local tax (SALT) compliance is a strong advantage.
