Position Overview

PWX is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst with 1–3 years of experience to join our growing finance team. This role reports to the Director of Finance and offers broad exposure across key financial operations. This person will play a critical part in supporting client billing, payroll and benefits administration, and financial reporting and analysis.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, and comfortable collaborating with senior leadership, internal teams, and external clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation and grow within a dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare recurring financial reports and assist with monthly close activities
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and insights
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Help improve reporting processes and financial controls
  • Utilize AI to create efficiencies and support analysis
Client Billing, Accounts Receivable & Collections
  • Support the end-to-end client billing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on outstanding invoices
  • Partner with internal teams and clients to resolve billing discrepancies
  • Assist in collections efforts and maintain strong client relationships
  • Work closely with business development to ensure SOW consistency, flagging renewals and pricing discrepancies, etc.
Payroll & HR Benefits Support
  • Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies
  • Collaborate with HR and external providers on payroll and benefits-related matters
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of employee financial data
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 1–3 years of relevant financial, accounting, or analytical experience
  • Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with financial systems is a plus
  • Solid understanding of financial principles and basic accounting concepts
