Position Summary
The Finance Assistant supports the organization’s day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, transaction processing, and recordkeeping. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and proficiency in financial systems. The position reports directly to the Director of Finance and plays a key role in maintaining accurate and efficient accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities- Process and apply receipts, manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records
- Process purchase orders and assist with bookkeeping tasks
- Support general accounting functions and department needs
- Proficiency in Quick Books Online (required)
- Experience with account reconciliation
- Familiarity with (preferred)
- Knowledge of AI tools/applications (a plus)
- Experience with nonprofit accounting (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently
- Part-time, onsite role reporting to the Director of Finance
- Collaborative, mission-driven nonprofit environment
