Vice President, Infrastructure Cost & Product Economics
Role located in NY/NJ, LM or Pittsburgh. At BNY, our culture allows us to run our company better and enables employees’ growth and success. This role works within the Technology Services Group (TSG) to drive cost transparency and economic modeling for infrastructure and product platforms.
Responsibilities- Lead technology cost transparency and cost allocation activities using Apptio, ensuring infrastructure and platform costs are accurately aligned to products and services through approved allocation methodologies.
- Partner with Service Owners, Product Managers, Finance, and Engineering teams to analyze, validate, and communicate service cost structures, including direct, indirect, and vendor costs across technology domains.
- Document, standardize, and improve volume forecasting processes to support budget planning, rate setting, and product cost modeling.
- Translate business needs into clearly defined functional requirements to enhance cost, volume, and usage reporting, automation, and overall process effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial and operational processes, ensuring alignment with enterprise cost transparency, Fin Ops, and broader strategic initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced certifications in infrastructure or technology management are advantageous.
Experience:
typically 6-10 years. - Collaborate with IT Asset Management and cloud teams to define requirements for capturing usage and volume data, supporting current and future chargeback initiatives, including Public Cloud and AI infrastructure.
- Prepare and deliver senior management–ready reporting and presentations, including KPIs, unit cost trends, cost drivers, and external benchmarking analysis.
Base salary for this position is expected to be between $83,000 and $155,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Salary is determined on an individualized basis, including experience and market location, and is part of the total compensation package, which may include commissions, discretionary bonuses, incentive programs, and company-sponsored benefits. Eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan and company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision plans.
