Role Overview
Lincoln International is seeking an Associate to join its Valuations & Opinions Group with fixed‑income structured product experience. The Associate will work closely with senior bankers and client executives, be involved in all phases of a valuation, help develop analysts, and support business development.
Hybrid Work StructureEmployees work in‑office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely or from the office on Fridays. The role emphasizes in‑office collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, complete, and review financial models and sophisticated valuation analyses.
- Write and review valuation reports and presentations.
- Conduct valuation and analysis of mortgage whole loans, student loans, consumer loans, RMBS, CMBS, CLO, ABS, and other structured finance securities.
- Drive the development and refinement of valuation models and approaches, determining valuation inputs including loss and pre‑payment vectors and appropriate secondary market spreads.
- Coordinate recurring valuation projects with team members, providing oversight to analysts.
- Interact with clients and prepare deliverables.
- Maintain proprietary valuation databases.
- Track capital markets and analyze market changes.
- Prepare marketing materials for meetings with potential clients.
- Advanced analytic foundation with deep understanding of financial statements and valuation methodologies (DCF, LBO, comparable analysis, etc.).
- Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Two to five years of structured product experience.
- Experience with structuring, trading, or whole‑loan modeling is desirable.
- Strong written communication skills and proficiency with PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
- Effective organizational skills with ability to manage people and work products.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with teammates and clients.
- Four to six years of professional valuation experience preferred, but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics from a top‑tier institution; strong academic record.

Salary range: $150,000 – $200,000 annually (location specific to New York City, Chicago, or Dallas). The range may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for bonus pay. A comprehensive benefits package is offered to eligible employees.
