When clients need equity capital, Equity Capital Markets (ECM) responds with market judgments and ingenuity. Whether executing an IPO, follow‑on, private placements or convertible offering, ECM integrates Morgan's expertise in Equity Sales and Trading and Investment Banking, offering clients seamless advice and sophisticated solutions. ECM originates, positions, structures and executes public and private placement of equities. The group translates market movements, generates fresh ideas and provides broad distribution to help clients get the most out of each stage of a transaction, as well as continually develops capital markets solutions to enable clients to mitigate strategic, operational, credit and market risks.
RoleSummary
Our New York office is looking for a VP to join the Equity Capital Markets Global Power & Energy Group (GPEG).
Qualifications- Ideally 5+ years of experience in Global Capital Markets or Investment Banking
- Experience in Equity Capital Markets is preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects, provide complicated financial analysis, and develop appropriate corporate finance solutions
- Extraordinarily high level of motivation and focus on work quality and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial instinct and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Series licensing or must obtain
Expected base pay rates for the role will be $225,000 per year for Vice President, and $300,000 per year for Executive Director, at the commencement of employment. Base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short‑ and long‑term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley‑sponsored benefit programs.
