Job Description

We are offering a long‑term contract employment opportunity for a Financial Data Analyst, located in New York, New York, 10017, United States. This role is within the banking and financial services industry, where you will be reviewing large data sets around trades, trading activities for misconduct, and market manipulation. Prior experience with Digital Currency, Crypto or Crypto Exchanges is a significant plus.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze large data sets related to trading activities in crypto / digital currency.
  • Investigate any potential market manipulation activities.
  • Utilize data analysis, data mining techniques, and big data to enhance results.
  • Maintain and manage the compliance metrics.
  • Apply knowledge of AML (Anti Money Laundering) and BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) in daily tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to Regulatory Compliance Risk Management standards.
  • Conduct statistical data analysis to identify potential areas of concern.
  • Leverage data analytics to provide insights on market trends and behaviors.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement best practices in data analysis.
  • Use exceptional Excel skills to manage and organize data.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial data analysis role or similar.
  • Proficiency in data mining techniques and big data.
  • Familiarity with banking compliance, Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements.
  • Ability to utilize compliance metrics in data analysis.
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance risk management.
  • Strong skills in statistical data analysis, data analysis, and data analytics.
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present data‑driven insights.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.
