What You'll Do
- Perform complex accounting activities to maintain complete and accurate general ledger
- Research new pronouncements for reporting as needed
- Review and identify trends or issues, recommending changes
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile ledger accounts, and perform monthly and quarterly fluctuation analysis
- Interface and assist with internal and external audit
- Lead special projects including process improvement initiatives
- Play key role in monthly and quarterly close process
- Perform account analysis to assist with ensuring accurate financial reporting
- Conduct high‑level review of account balances, identifying errors and risks that could have a financial impact in accordance with company policies, US GAAP, and Sarbanes‑Oxley
- Communicate with multiple levels in the organization and elevate issues to appropriate management
- Partner with training or subject‑matter experts to develop desktop procedures and training material; assist the trainer in onshore/offshore training
- Analyze offshore production against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to identify issues and suggest solutions
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy
- Prepare integrated revenue/expense analyses
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; MBA preferred
- 4+ years of experience in the field or a related area
- Prefer 2+ years of experience working with non‑domestic based accounting teams
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within accounting
- Strong organizational skills, developing specific goals and plans to prioritize and accomplish work
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of interpretation and application of accounting principles and practices under US GAAP
- Knowledge of IFRS a plus
- Strong computer skills including MS Office; ability to query data using data extraction tools
- Large ERP Software experience, Oracle preferred;
Hyperion experience preferred - Critical thinking, complex problem solving, judgement and decision making
- CPA desired but not required
Base Salary: $72,125 – $120,150 annually (actual base pay may vary based on experience, location, and business requirements). The posting also lists a second range of $73,900 – $98,500; base pay is reviewed annually.
