As the Vice President of Technical Accounting, you will lead and oversee complex accounting matters, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards. Description Serve as the subject matter expert on US GAAP, advising on complex transactions, accounting policies, and new pronouncements (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, financial instruments). Lead the assessment and implementation of new accounting standards, including documenting technical memos and ensuring compliance across business units.

Partner with finance, legal, regulatory, and business teams to analyze accounting implications of strategic initiatives and transactions. Oversee the preparation and review of technical accounting documentation, ensuring audit readiness and alignment with external auditors. Monitor emerging accounting guidance and regulatory changes, providing thought leadership and proactive recommendations. Support financial reporting teams on complex disclosures and contribute to quarterly and annual filings.

Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a strong technical accounting culture. Profile A successful Vice President, Technical Accounting should have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred). 10+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting, including public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or financial services. Deep knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS exposure is a plus. Proven experience handling complex accounting issues within large financial institutions or similarly regulated environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
