Position Overview

Vice President, Quantitative Analytics – responsible for leading the Mortgage Insurance Quantitative Analytics group, designing and deploying sophisticated quantitative finance models.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead development and maintenance of Radian's most sophisticated models, including as model owner as needed.
  • Design models and analyses to answer strategic and business questions using mastery of mathematics, economics, statistics, simulation, Hidden Markov Chains, Neural Networks, multi‑dimensional non-parametric modeling, and vector space optimization.
  • Collaborate with business departments to understand issues and design and execute analytical solutions.
  • Guide and manage junior analysts to execute Quantitative Analytics initiatives.
Job Qualifications
  • Education:

    Master’s degree in a quantitative field (preferred: Doctorate).
  • Experience:

    8‑10 years technical, 1‑3 years supervisory, managing 3‑7 people.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Expertise in programming and cloud computing environments (PySpark/Python, EMR, Notebooks, Spark, Athena, C++).
  • Strong quantitative training in mathematics and statistics.
  • Understanding of mortgage industry and financial risk/return management.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey results and recommendations to all levels of management.
  • Project and leadership skills to prioritize and solve problems independently.
