About the Job
Aspen Standard Wealth is scaling rapidly through acquisition, and we’re hiring a Regional Controller. The Regional Controller will play a critical role in scaling the company’s financial infrastructure as we continue to acquire and integrate partner companies. This leader will manage the accounting and finance functions of his/her assigned region and report to Aspen’s Controller. The role is based in New York City and requires a minimum 4 days in office schedule, with occasional travel to acquired partner companies.
Responsibilities- Responsible for day‑to‑day general ledger processes, monthly close, reconciliations, variance analysis, financial statements, budgets and cash forecasts.
- Apply US GAAP expertise in complex accounting areas, including revenue recognition, purchase accounting, leases and other relevant financial reporting and disclosure requirements.
- Serve as a key finance lead during post‑acquisition integration with partner companies, onboarding onto Netsuite, RAMP and other technology solutions.
- Work closely with operating company accounting teams to transition from cash‑basis to accrual accounting and provide hands‑on support, training and change management to ensure smooth adoption of new processes.
- Act as primary point of contact for external auditors.
- 8+ years professional experience working within accounting, with at least 3+ years on an in‑house accounting team.
- Experience working in a startup environment with limited corporate infrastructure.
- Must have in‑depth experience working with Net Suite.
- CPA certification required; experience in public accounting preferred.
- Ownership:
