Manager – Accounting & CFO Advisory | Real Estate & Construction | Hybrid in NYC

A confidential advisory platform is seeking a Manager to support its Accounting & CFO Advisory practice focused exclusively on its real estate owners, developers, operators, and construction clients. This client-facing role offers direct exposure to property-level accounting, development projects, and construction financial workflows.

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation for real estate and construction entities.
• Oversee property-level accounting including revenue, operating expenses, capital expenditures, and development cost tracking.
• Support construction accounting including job cost allocations, draw schedules, and lender reporting.
• Manage multi-entity consolidations and intercompany transactions.
• Address ASC 842 lease accounting and GAAP vs. tax depreciation complexities.
• Prepare working papers supporting compilation and review engagements.
• Develop KPIs and management reporting focused on asset performance and project profitability.
• Assist with budgeting, operating plans, and cash flow forecasting for stabilized and development assets.
• Serve as a trusted advisor while managing multiple client engagements and deadlines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5–7+ years of progressive public or outsourced accounting experience.
• CPA required.
• Strong experience in real estate and construction accounting environments.
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and multi-entity reporting structures.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

• Experience with Quick Books, Net Suite, Sage Intacct, or similar G/L systems.
• Familiarity with property management systems such as Yardi or App Folio preferred.
• Exposure to construction/job cost tracking systems a plus.

• $115-130k Base Salary + Annual Bonus & Comprehensive Benefits
