The U.S. Aerospace, Defense and Government Services team provides M&A advisory, capital raising and principal finance solutions to corporate and sponsor clients globally. Since the group was founded ten years ago, the ADG team has executed $25 billion in M&A advisory transactions.

What role will you play?

The Director in the Aerospace, Defense and Government Services group will be involved in all aspects of transaction origination and execution. You will lead and engage in client discussions and business development activities, manage transaction processes, coordinate deal teams, take part in deal structuring and negotiations, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality advisory services to corporate and financial sponsor clients. You will communicate Aerospace, Defense and Government market dynamics and transaction activity to clients and internal stakeholders, and oversee the preparation of valuation materials, financial models and presentations.

You will manage due diligence processes, interface with legal, accounting, and transaction counter parties, and maintain rigorous control over timelines and deliverables. You will also work on cross‑functional teams that include Macquarie Capital’s direct lending, principal investment and other industry sector teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and engage in client discussions and business development activities, managing transaction processes and coordinating deal teams.
  • Take part in deal structuring and negotiations, ensuring delivery of high‑quality advisory services to corporate and financial sponsor clients.
  • Communicate Aerospace, Defense and Government market dynamics and transaction activity to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee preparation of valuation materials, financial models and presentations.
  • Manage due diligence processes, interface with legal, accounting, and transaction counter parties, and maintain rigorous control over timelines and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams that include Macquarie Capital’s direct lending, principal investment and other industry sector teams.
Qualifications

We ask for:

  • 9–12 years of experience in investment banking and/or other similar corporate finance roles, with M&A experience valued.
  • Strong experience with financial modelling and understanding of financial statements, accounting and finance.
  • Strong attention to detail, an exceptional work ethic, and time and process management skills.
Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $275,000–$325,000 per year, with possible discretionary incentive award.
