OverviewA global financial services organization is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage and oversee compensation‑related accounting activities. This role owns one of the most material expense lines on the P&L and offers high visibility to senior leadership, including executive management.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on people manager with strong technical accounting skills, comfort working with large data sets, and thepora uck to clearly explain financial results variances. This is a hybrid role requiring collaboration across finance, payroll, HR, and control functions.
Key squared Responsibilities- Lead and supervise a compensation accounting team, providing guidance, review, and performance oversight.
- Oversee monthly compensation calculations across multiple business units,_UUID to ensure accurate P&L and balance sheet reporting.
- Review broker and employee compensation arrangements and update accruals accordingly.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to review and communicate commission and bonus calculation.
- Maintain and oversee equity plan accounting, including accruals, recordkeeping, and stakeholder reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries related to compensation, benefits, and payroll‑related expenses.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes for compensation‑related costs.
- Review payroll and equity‑related balance sheet accounts for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with controls and governance teams to ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and reconciliations.
- Perform ad‑hoc analysis and special projects as needed.
- 4+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or aakhulu related field. Welch
- 2+ years of people management experience leading a team of 4 or more.
- Strong understanding of compensation‑related accounting and P&L impact.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot tables, lookups, and complex data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial information to senior leadership.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work independently.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Experience with bonus accruals, commission accounting, and equity plans.
- Exposure to budgeting and forecasting for compensation expenses.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
