Location: New York
JOB OVERVIEW
Tax Senior Associate in the Commercial Real Estate Team at our New York City office.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts
- Take responsibility for pre‑engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables
- Assist with the process and review of 1065s with K‑1s, including some corporate filings (1120/1120S) and occasional individual or trust returns depending on the structure of the investors
- Perform various financial analysis including balance sheets and income statements
- Manage the process of financial statement preparation of compilations and reviews
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual year‑end tax projections
- Work on various ad hoc projects as needed during the year
- Actively participate in proposals
- Manage a team of staff associates and interns, providing regular performance coaching and feedback
- Gain the respect and confidence of the CR team through effective client management, timely and accurate communication, and clear, concise direction and leadership
- Bachelor’s Degree required;
Master’s in Accounting/Taxation preferred - CPA, JD, or EA preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm
- Commercial Real Estate industry experience preferred
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Strong tax research and writing skills
- Proven technical skills with MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Competence with tax compliance and research software such as Go Systems, BNA Portfolio and Projection, CCH, and RIA
- Solid project management and organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task
Salary range: $85,000 to $140,000.
