Tax Senior Associate Commercial Real Estate Group

JOB OVERVIEW

Tax Senior Associate in the Commercial Real Estate Team at our New York City office.

• Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts
• Take responsibility for pre‑engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables
• Assist with the process and review of 1065s with K‑1s, including some corporate filings (1120/1120S) and occasional individual or trust returns depending on the structure of the investors
• Perform various financial analysis including balance sheets and income statements
• Manage the process of financial statement preparation of compilations and reviews
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual year‑end tax projections
• Work on various ad hoc projects as needed during the year
• Actively participate in proposals
• Manage a team of staff associates and interns, providing regular performance coaching and feedback
• Gain the respect and confidence of the CR team through effective client management, timely and accurate communication, and clear, concise direction and leadership

• Bachelor’s Degree required;
  Master’s in Accounting/Taxation preferred
• CPA, JD, or EA preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm
• Commercial Real Estate industry experience preferred
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
• Strong tax research and writing skills
• Proven technical skills with MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Competence with tax compliance and research software such as Go Systems, BNA Portfolio and Projection, CCH, and RIA
• Solid project management and organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task

Salary range: $85,000 to $140,000.
