Client Service Delivery – Loan Services – Agency Closing Specialist – NYC

The Agency Deal Closer position requires a highly skilled candidate with deep Loan IQ experience to support the execution and lifecycle management of syndicated and structured loan transactions.

• Timely handling of all Agency transactions and daily Loan Administration workflow.
• Issuance, advising, amending, reporting, billing, document checking, and payments.
• Capturing transactions on the Loan IQ Lending platform.
• Analyzing structured finance loan portfolios.
• Performing audits and reconciling interest and fees.
• Reviewing commercial loan terms, resolving discrepancies, and preparing spreadsheets.
• Recommending procedural changes when necessary.
• Analyzing credit documentation and extracting information for deal capture and booking in the Lending System.
• Coordinating and managing syndicated loan closings, including CP, funding coordination, lender allocations, and initial facility onboarding.
• Processing borrowing and payment requests, arranging funding/break funding, setting rates, and renewing maturing loan contracts.
• Calculating and billing fees: commitment, unutilized, letter of credit, agency, and fronting fees.
• Setting up and maintaining customer records, including administrative details and payment instructions.
• Managing lifecycle events: amendments, waivers, extensions, repricings, lender assignments, rollovers, and restructurings.
• Reviewing, interpreting, and validating credit agreements, fee letters, amendments, joinders, and closing instructions.
• Leading and participating in closing calls with borrowers, lenders, counsel, and internal stakeholders.
• Serving as the primary liaison with borrowers, lenders, and internal teams on all Agency matters.
• Monitoring commitment limits, expiration dates, daily cash flow, and investigating unidentified amounts in suspense account.
• Assisting in training junior staff and contributing to process improvement initiatives.
• Assisting the Manager in special projects as needed.
• Maintaining effective communication skills and addressing moderate to complex system‑related issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, mathematics, or a closely‑related quantitative field from an accredited U.S. school (or equivalent).
• 3+ years of relevant Loan Agency experience supporting syndicated loans.

• Advanced, hands‑on experience with Loan IQ: facility onboarding, deal closing set‑up, events, fee set‑up, and amendments.
• Strong understanding of credit agreements and related loan documentation.
• Experience with Clear Par or similar platforms is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to control and accuracy.
• Ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.

• Confident, self‑driven, and capable of owning complex transactions.
• Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Adaptable, collaborative, and able to multitask under pressure.
• Flexible and willing to learn and adapt to on‑going changes.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.

• Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000.
