A leading investment services firm is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join its dynamic and growing fund accounting team in New York City. This is a great opportunity for professionals with fund accounting experience looking to take the next step in their career, gain exposure to complex fund structures, and work directly with high-profile clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual NAV packages
• Reconcile portfolio activity and maintain general ledger for investment funds
• Process capital activity, including contributions, distributions, and transfers
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and footnote disclosures
• Coordinate with auditors, administrators, and internal teams during audit cycles
• Ensure fund transactions comply with partnership agreements and investor allocations
• Support new fund launches, system implementations, and process enhancements
• Mentor and review work of junior accountants as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–6 years of fund accounting experience (hedge, private equity, or fund admin)
• Solid understanding of partnership accounting and investment fund structures
• Familiarity with capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, and allocations
• Strong Excel skills; experience with fund accounting systems is a plus
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred but not required
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under deadlines
