The Senior Tax Associate will play a key role in delivering tax compliance, tax planning, financial administration, and family office services to high-net-worth individuals and families. This position combines technical tax expertise with client relationship management and financial oversight responsibilities. The successful candidate will work directly with clients and collaborate closely with members of their broader wealth management teams to provide comprehensive financial support and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities- Tax Compliance & Planning
- Prepare and review individual, business, trust, and fiduciary income tax returns, including multi-state filings
- Prepare and review tax projections, estimated tax calculations, and planning analyses
- Respond to tax notices and assist with tax audits and examinations
- Conduct tax research and support special projects
- Review payroll tax filings and various information return filings
- Family Office & Financial Administration
- Provide business management, financial administration, and financial concierge services for multiple clients
- Review bookkeeping activities, including general ledger postings, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Monitor and review client financial reporting, budgets, cash flow analyses, spending reports, and financial plans
- Assist with forensic accounting and financial analyses related to matrimonial matters
- Coordinate with advisors, attorneys, accountants, and other members of clients' professional teams
- Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth clients and their families
- Serve as a trusted resource and responsive point of contact for client requests
- Participate in all business aspects of client engagements, including billing, collections, and maintaining profitability
- Deliver a high level of service while managing multiple client relationships and deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Master's in Taxation preferred
- CPA license preferred; CFP designation a plus
