Job Overview

Equitable is looking for a Wealth Management Business Unit CFO to serve as a strategic finance leader and trusted advisor, partnering closely with business leaders to drive informed, high-impact decision-making. The role reports directly to the Business Unit CFO and leads financial strategy and delivers analytical insights across Equitable’s Wealth Management, Marketing, and Investment Management businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial guidance to ensure continued discipline for growth and profitability and support aligned business lines.
  • Liaise between business lines and finance – acting as the face of finance.
  • Identify, assess, and evaluate new business opportunities, including new market and product/service ideas, and support analysis and comparison of alternative opportunities for entering new markets and adopting new technologies.
  • Support the Head of M&A in evaluating acquisition opportunities to drive growth and stay abreast of industry trends and inorganic growth opportunities.
  • Develop a strategic plan to ensure continued and successful growth and profitability, coordinating input from multiple stakeholders to integrate individual business unit plans with the corporate plan.
  • Lead a team responsible for financial analysis, monthly business review reporting, quarterly reporting, P-L management, sales projections, and expense budgeting.
  • Provide presentations to senior/executive management with insight and recommendations on complex financial topics, including quarterly earnings.
  • Provide innovative solutions and approaches to current practices and stay informed with industry best practices and customer needs to drive impact across areas.
  • Support hybrid work schedule with an on-site presence of three days per week.
Compensation and Benefits

Total targeted compensation range: $254,000 - $440,000. Total compensation varies based on skills, experience, geographical location and other factors. Equitable provides base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience within the financial services industry, preferably within wealth management.
  • Ability to think creatively, drive strategy, and determine how to achieve goals.
  • Passion to challenge the status quo and find new solutions.
  • Belief in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust.
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and explore outside comfort zone to learn, encouraging teams to do the same.
  • Effective quantitative and analytical skills with ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Comfort with making executive-level, tactical, and strategic expense recommendations.
