Our Investment Banking Technology Group is looking for Associates and Vice Presidents with flexibility to sit in our New York, NY or Menlo Park, CA offices. AI is driving a convergence from hardware to apps and we want people to work across sectors/verticals to drive new insights and differentiated execution.
Responsibilities- Work with regional and international clients on a wide range of complex transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, demergers, leveraged buyouts and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts, strategic advisory assignments and executions of public and private capital markets transactions.
- Collaborate with professionals throughout the firm to deliver high quality advice to our clients.
- Play an important role on a team that includes senior professionals who will encourage you to go beyond the numbers and think creatively.
- 3-6+ years of experience within the investment banking industry as an Associate and/or Vice President with a proven track record working on complex executed deals.
- Experience with in the technology industry is strongly preferred, but not a requirement.
- Extraordinarily high level of motivation and commitment to working hard.
- Strong analytical, corporate finance, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA and/or CFA designation would be an asset.
- Series licensing or must obtain.
- Location will be either New York, NY or Menlo Park, CA.
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $225,000 per year for an Associate, and between $250,000 and $275,000 per year for a Vice President, at the commencement of employment. Base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
