Credit Risk Officer

Job Overview

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Credit Risk Officer at its Getzville, New York location.

• Assess analyst work and creditworthiness as a senior, assigning appropriate credit ratings.
• Review and underwrite structuring of annual and transaction Credit Approval Memos.
• Complete due diligence on North American Insurance companies and provide credit extensions within risk appetite.
• Perform outlook and industry overview of the portfolio for leadership.
• Maintain credit research and lead portfolio efficiency projects.
• Supervise and coach Credit Risk Analysts, Senior Analysts, and Associates.
• Manage transaction deal approval, preparing credit approval memos and making recommendations to senior risk managers.
• Monitor the insurance portfolio, track industry trends, and elevate potential credit issues to risk teams.
• Assist with special projects such as stress testing, portfolio reviews, internal audits, and talent development.
• Support global and analytical initiatives on internal transformation projects.

• Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field with 3 years experience as Credit Risk Analyst, Portfolio Senior Manager, Tax Analyst or related; or Bachelor’s degree with 6 years progressive experience.
• Experience leading alignment meetings, presenting industry analysis, financial statements, organizational structure, and risk mitigation.
• Proficiency in financial statement analysis, credit research, portfolio management, and risk & return modeling.
• Knowledge of credit approval memos, loan documentation, collateral ratings, and ISDA/CSA agreements.
• Experience with stress testing, UAT testing, and evaluating various loan types (margin, term, revolving).
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.

Wage Range: $130,728 to $130,728. Eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
