Overview

A public accounting and advisory firm is seeking an Audit Senior to support assurance engagements for clients across the financial services sector. This position will assist with audit execution, financial statement preparation, investment valuation procedures, and client communications while working closely with engagement leadership to deliver high-quality service.

Responsibilities
  • Perform audit and assurance procedures for financial services clients.
  • Prepare audit work papers, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Review and analyze capital allocation calculations and investor reporting schedules.
  • Support engagement teams with tax-related book-to-tax adjustments and reporting requirements.
  • Perform testing of investment valuations and other key financial statement areas.
  • Maintain regular communication with client personnel regarding engagement requests and outstanding items.
  • Identify accounting and reporting issues and communicate findings to engagement leadership.
  • Monitor engagement progress and provide status updates to managers and supervisors.
  • Assist with additional accounting, audit, and advisory projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or progress toward certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience serving financial services clients.
  • Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Exposure to investment management, private funds, broker-dealers, or related financial services organizations preferred.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with audit technology.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
