Job Title

BXMA - Credit Team, Principal

• Lead sourcing, underwriting, and monitoring of investments across credit asset classes (investment grade, high‑yield bonds, leveraged loans, structured equity, mortgage‑related credit, asset‑backed securities, specialty finance, real assets, etc.).
• Lead investment sourcing and underwriting, including partnerships and direct investments.
• Present investment opportunities to investment committees, clients, and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with fund managers, industry participants, and co‑investment partners.
• Perform detailed diligence: quantitative analysis, financial and cash‑flow modeling, scenario and sensitivity analysis, fundamental industry and market research, and legal & tax assessment.
• Structure investments and partnership agreements, evaluating upside/downside risk, legal & tax implications.
• Continuously evaluate portfolio exposures, track risk factors, and conduct stress tests.
• Prepare presentation materials and lead investment committee presentations, portfolio discussions, and senior management updates.
• Identify opportunities to improve diligence, monitoring, and reporting processes.

• 5+ years of relevant experience (investment banking, leveraged finance, credit trading, investment management).
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in financial modeling.
• Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Detail‑oriented, with good judgment and confidence.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience completing ad‑hoc projects independently.
• Prior programming experience is a plus but not required.
• Proven entrepreneurial, team‑oriented mindset.

• Base salary range: $225,000 – $250,000 (actual compensation will reflect experience, skills, and location).
• Additional compensation includes discretionary bonuses and equity incentive compensation at Blackstone’s discretion.
