Introduction
Establish a stable and reliable partnership through comprehensive credit analysis and relationship management across the Bank of China’s diverse banking lines.
OverviewTo be eligible for the campus recruitment program, applicants may only apply for one position within the U.S. Branches.
The Credit Associate will perform credit analysis on various types of loans, conduct the annual review of credit limits, and maintain superb relationships with Financial Institutions to expand the bank’s customer base. The role will coordinate with the Compliance Department, Credit Risk Management Department, and Internal Audit Department to ensure all banking relationships follow up‑to‑date OCC and other regulatory requirements.
ResponsibilitiesInclude but not limited to:
- Assist with the conducting in‑depth thorough analysis of new credit requests, credit change requests, renewals and annual customer relationship reviews.
- Report any findings that may have an adverse effect on loan collateral or borrower’s ability to pay/repay the loan.
- Prepare credit reports.
- Ensure all credit files are complete with supporting documentation.
- Perform annual file reviews.
- Update CRR and Credit usage tracker.
- Participate in internal and external audit requests, and take remediation actions as needed.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Conduct due diligence on CRR entities in accordance with bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Report any unusual credit activities to supervisor and Department Head.
- Review loan files as needed to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the compliance team and serve as a bridge between the bank and the correspondent banks for compliance‑related matters in credit facility establishment.
- Answer customer inquiries via phone, fax, and/or email.
- Perform liaison functions for FI customers and relevant business departments to resolve their inquiries.
- Actively support new types of customers and new product onboarding.
- Bachelor’s degree required at the time of hiring, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, or a related field; candidates with a Master’s degree are preferred.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial markets and international business, with solid knowledge in financial analysis.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Verbal and written capability in Mandarin and English preferred.
USD $50,000.00 – USD $70,000.00 /Yr. Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education, and other qualifications.
