Protara’s portfolio includes its lead candidate, TARA‑002, an investigational cell‑based therapy in development for the treatment of non‑muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) and lymphatic malformations (LMs). The company is evaluating TARA‑002 in an ongoing Phase 2 trial in NMIBC patients with carcinoma in situ (CIS) who are unresponsive or naïve to Bacillus Calmette‑Guérin (BCG), as well as a Phase 2 trial in pediatric patients with LMs.

Additionally, Protara is developing IV Choline Chloride, an investigational phospholipid substrate replacement for patients on parenteral support who are otherwise unable to meet their choline needs via oral or enteral routes.

This role requires on‑site presence in our NYC offices at least 2 days per week.

The Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis provides financial planning and analytical support to the Associate Director of FP&A and the broader Finance team. The manager assists in managing the FP&A function, supports the financial aspects of Protara by providing forecasting, business modeling, valuation, financial analysis, and other analytical techniques as needed. The manager will help manage the company’s forecast and cash runway model in Workday Adaptive Planning and share key insights with management.

The manager participates in the preparation of Board presentations and supporting materials.

• Develop financial plan to help the company meet its strategic goals by leading discussions with business owners across the organization and understanding their needs.
• Review company contracts and determine the impact on the company’s working forecast and cash runway.
• Incorporate month‑end actuals into the forecast, including Budget‑to‑Actual variance analysis.
• Communicate forecast updates and variances to key stakeholders.
• Work with Business Development to assist in the development of operating and valuation models for new opportunities and support the team in due diligence and transaction execution as appropriate.
• Assist with the preparation of Board presentations and supporting materials.
• Propose and implement best practices for process and reporting enhancements.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field required.
• Minimum of three to five years in a financial planning or accounting role.
• Prior experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry preferred.

• Demonstrated competence to handle a wide range of finance related responsibilities.
• Strong background in forecasting.
• Demonstrable knowledge of financial accounting.

• Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning required;
  Net Suite experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.

• Ability to understand data and transaction flows between systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.

• This position requires minimal travel.
