Role OverviewInitio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Private Capital Transaction Auditors
.
This is not a traditional employment role
. Private Capital Transaction Auditors operate as independent contractors and are activated through Initio Sphere’s certification and verification process.
Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform

Senior Private Capital Transaction AuditorRating Score: 90–100
Pay: $150–200/hour
Typical Background: Former investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, audit, valuation, or senior consulting professionals with 5+ years of transaction review or audit experience
Lead Private Capital Transaction AuditorRating Score: 80–89
Pay: $100–150/hour
Typical Background: Finance professionals with 3–5 years of transaction analysis, diligence, audit, or advisory experience
Private Capital Transaction Auditor / AssociateRating Score: 60–79
Pay: $50–100/hour
Typical Background: Entry to mid-level analysts with strong analytical skills and exposure to transaction support or audit functions
What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)Depending on certification approvals, Private Capital Transaction Auditors may be engaged to:
Transaction Audit & Verification- Audit financial models for accuracy, internal consistency, and assumption integrity
- Verify sources & uses, capitalization tables, and transaction structures
- Validate valuation methodologies (DCF, LBO, comparable companies, precedent transactions)
- Confirm data consistency across financial, legal, and diligence materials
- Review Quality of Earnings (QoE) analyses and supporting schedules
- Audit commercial and operational diligence findings for completeness
- Identify discrepancies, unsupported assumptions, and data gaps
- Assess financial reporting quality and normalization adjustments
- Identify financial, structural, and execution risks
- Assess leverage, liquidity, covenant, and downside exposure
- Review transaction materials for compliance with internal review standards
- Prepare audit-style findings, exceptions, and summary reports
Note: Auditors may only perform work in categories they are specifically approved for. Approvals are earned through assessment and demonstrated performance—not tenure.

To qualify, you must meet at least one of the following:
- Score ≥70% in at least one category of the Certification Assessment
- Complete Initio Sphere Financial Training
- Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)
Each Private Capital Transaction Auditor receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score
