Analyst - Healthcare

Position Overview

The Analyst will support Greystone’s Healthcare Loan Origination team in New York City, providing organizational and analytical support to originate and manage debt products for healthcare owners and operators. Eligible for graduates or candidates with 0‑2 years of experience.

• Identify and analyze healthcare real‑estate investment opportunities for short‑term bridge, mezzanine, and HUD 223(f) financing, focusing on skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care assets.
• Assist with initial underwriting and deal sizing using historical property financials, borrower proformas, and market data.
• Prepare financial analyses and memoranda that summarize loan opportunities for presentation to third‑party banks.
• Support the due‑diligence process, including ordering/appraising market studies, capital needs assessments, environmental studies and evaluating financial statements.
• Monitor and evaluate monthly performance metrics for healthcare assets, draw conclusions, and prepare written summaries for senior team members.
• Complete ad‑hoc analyses throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Collaborate directly with owners and operators to meet financing objectives.
• Communicate regularly with Greystone internal departments (underwriting, project management, closing, asset management).

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Demonstrated academic or professional success.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Self‑starter with initiative and responsibility.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and highly organized and analytical.
• Ability to work collaboratively and in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment.
• Prior experience in multifamily or healthcare underwriting/analysis is a plus.

• Base salary range: $80,000 – $90,000 per year.
• Discretionary bonus tied to performance reviewed annually.
