Position Summary

A Director, Team Lead in Portfolio Management will manage the Project Finance loan portfolio, focusing on credit monitoring, analytics, and internal reporting. The role includes leadership of a team that provides critical portfolio management and reporting foundation for lending origination and underwriting.

Responsibilities
  • Actively manage all facets of the daily operations of the identified portfolio, including but not limited to:
  • Routinely analyze the credit migration trends of the portfolio and individual names
  • Generate ideas for value added cross‑buy or client opportunities
  • Conduct quarterly and annual credit reviews
  • Prepare quarterly Credit Risk Management (CRM) portfolio reviews
  • Process amendment and waiver requests, write or review credit modifications, submit to risk, address Q&A, and follow‑up on required legal amendments until execution
  • Track compliance of financial covenants and other reporting covenants such as construction/operating reports, insurance, etc.
  • Review annual risk rating updates prepared by an administrative support team
  • Oversee and prepare collateral monitoring reports
  • Maintain regulatory, rating agency, and other external party reporting
  • Maintain various department and industry databases/trackers and internal portfolio tracking metrics
  • Respond to ad hoc internal requests on portfolio composition and exposure
  • Coordinate with offshore portfolio support teams
  • Perform diligent and proactive credit monitoring through review of covenanted financial and project information (e.g., financial models, borrower and adviser operational/ construction progress reports) and compliance with regular reporting activities in line with bank policy and procedures
  • Oversee multiple project‑basis PMs to ensure proper training and development
  • Ensure accurate internal system processing (Vantage) including GRID, FINAN, TSC, Risk Rater Interface with relationship managers and sector specialists
  • Monitor and identify market developments and proactively manage their potential impact on the portfolio
  • Coordinate between Portfolio Management/Origination to ensure timely and accurate response to internal (CAS) and external regulatory controls and audits
  • Stay up to date on organizational operating policies and procedures (Risk, Legal, etc.) and facilitate implementation
  • Implement strategic initiatives, including enhancements to the credit monitoring process, to improve business efficiency
  • Identify productivity trends across the Front Office organization and use reporting insights to create efficient processes
  • Ensure excellent service level and high‑quality output
  • Implement transformation projects and coordinate with KYC/CDD team
  • Manage lending limits and Capital Velocity programs
Qualifications and Competencies
  • BA/BS in finance, economics, accounting, management, engineering, or related field; CFA is a plus
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Project Finance
  • 5–8 years experience in TMT, Infrastructure Financing and/or Energy (preferred)
  • At least 2 years of management experience
  • Strong financial and credit analysis capabilities, including financial modeling
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with multiple competing priorities
  • Committed, self‑motivated, and dedicated to continuous improvement of team processes
  • Experience with internal credit approval processes end‑to‑end
  • Excellent understanding of GAAP accounting statements and principles
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, professional demeanor
  • Ability to work under pressure and set priorities in a dynamic, challenging, and international environment
  • Understanding of risks associated with project finance and knowledge of legal documentation
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word
Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $250,000 – $300,000 (base salary only). Eligible for a discretionary bonus program.
