The STAT Reporting and ALM team aims to continually provide timely and accurate results, projections and analysis with a clear story regarding variances and changes so that senior management is well informed to manage business. The Actuarial Associate supports the preparation and analysis of U.S. statutory reserves, including cash flow testing, capital and ALM deliverables, as well as the filing of statutory reports to ensure compliance with actuarial standards of practice, model regulations and other requirements from internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Support the quarterly and annual statutory close process with calculation, review and validation of statutory reserves, forecasts and related exhibits.
- Assist in explaining quarter‑over‑quarter movements in reserves and cash flows and producing a source of earnings analysis for presentation to senior management.
- Assist in monitoring changes in U.S. statutory regulations, NAIC guidance, and actuarial guidelines, and support implementation efforts.
- Contribute to capital‑related analyses used in management reporting, planning, and regulatory discussions.
- Support ALM analysis, including cash flow projections, duration metrics, and reinvestment assumptions.
- Support responses to auditor and regulatory inquiries related to statutory valuation and modeling.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Finance, to ensure accurate and timely reporting of statutory results.
- Recommend process improvements and implement strategies to achieve efficiencies on the quarterly close process.
- Progress towards ASA required
- 2+ years of experience in life insurance/reinsurance industry, preferably with exposure to U.S. statutory valuation and reporting experience
- Life insurance product knowledge including product design, features, and risks is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or related field
- Moody's GGY AXIS and SQL experience is preferred

For New York City based employees, the base salary range anticipated for this position is $109,000 - $146,000, plus an opportunity for an annual company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.
