VP Fund Accounting

Vice President, Fund Accounting | NYC | Private Credit/Direct Lending

Mission Staffing is partnered with a leading global alternative investment manager with a well‑established private credit platform focused primarily on direct lending strategies. We are seeking a Vice President, Fund Accounting to join the New York team in a highly visible role supporting a diversified portfolio of direct lending funds, with additional exposure to separately managed accounts (SMAs) and other institutional investment vehicles.

• Partner directly with senior leadership across Fund Accounting, Fund Finance, Treasury, Operations, and Investor Relations
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for multiple direct lending funds and SMA structures, while coordinating closely with third‑party fund administrators
• Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, administrators, and other key service providers to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Support capital activity including capital calls, distributions, financing facilities, liquidity management, and investor reporting
• Review fund NAVs, investor allocations, management fees, incentive calculations, and portfolio‑level reporting
• Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and enhance reporting infrastructure to support continued platform growth
• Collaborate closely with Investment Professionals, Legal, Compliance, FP&A, Treasury, and Investor Relations teams on fund launches, transactions, and ongoing operations
• Mentor and develop junior team members while helping build and maintain a best‑in‑class fund finance and accounting function

• Exposure to some of the most complex credit funds in the industry

• Compensation:
  Up to $250K base / $300K total comp

• 8+ Years of fund accounting experience
• Experience with private credit or private equity funds required
• Credit fund exposure strongly preferred
• Experience with in alternative asset management platforms (no straight public accounting profiles)
