Summary:
This is an entry‑level client coverage position within Citi Commercial Bank’s Industry Team for Digital, Technology & Communications – one of the key strategic growth sectors in the commercial bank. You will report directly to the DT&C Head (Singapore) and support senior coverage bankers in managing a portfolio of some of the region’s most dynamic tech companies.
The primary responsibilities include servicing the banking & financing needs, cultivating stronger client relationships, acquiring & onboarding new clients, and positioning Citi as the trusted partner for our clients.
Responsibilities:- Build relationships with Citi network and operational teams, becoming a key contact for client requests, internal escalations, and resolution.
- Support Senior Relationship Manager in managing an assigned portfolio of clients.
- Work closely with Senior Relationship Managers to ensure a 'Client First' approach and deliver outstanding day‑to‑day banking & operational support to Mid‑Market clients.
- Call on clients and maximise a 'One Citi' client experience by proactively leveraging and sharing Citi’s market‑leading insights, global network and solutions.
- Monitor and support product implementation processes, client onboarding, and manage the sales CRM platform.
- Liaise with clients to ensure adherence to global KYC standards during onboarding & renewal, and maintain compliance deliverables.
- Develop and maintain strong ties with Commercial Banking teams worldwide, especially CCB colleagues supporting the same sector and subsidiary businesses overseas. Collaborate with product teams (cash sales, trade finance, markets, corporate finance), Underwriting/Risk teams.
- Assist with credit application write‑up, financial spreading, deal structuring, returns calculation, documentation review & preparation; administer credit relationships ensuring proper policy application.
- Understand key commercial banking processes & solutions, including Transactional Banking, FX, Trade, Treasury, Working Capital and Lending products.
- Prepare pitch books, meeting materials, and assist with new client acquisition; support solutioning assessment.
- Assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, rules and regulations, and escalating control issues with transparency.
- 3 - 5 years of experience.
- Previous banking experience in Commercial/Corporate banking is desirable.
- Experience in a client relationship or client‑facing role.
- Strong sales, presentation and communication skills with a focus on first‑class service quality.
- Analytical and credit skills.
- High level of self‑motivation.
- Knowledge of general banking processes and commercial banking solutions.
- Ability to build and develop strong client relationships.
- Effective collaboration skills with Senior Relationship Managers and Commercial Banking partners.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM applications.
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
