Job Overview
Vice President, Banker – Industry/Country Coverage with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York.
Responsibilities- Develop and review financial models for healthcare companies, including merger, DCF, and LBO analyses.
- Analyze accounting and regulatory statements, debt and equity filings, and financial projections prepared by clients.
- Present strategic alternatives, capital markets activities, restructuring alternatives, and corporate governance issues to CEO/CFO level clients at board meetings, pitches, and conference calls.
- Manage live deal execution, including due diligence, negotiating legal documents, organizing and attending roadshows, and coordinating with other investment banks and internal parties.
- Research and expand expertise on trends, themes, and business models across the healthcare industry.
- Guide junior professionals by reviewing financial modeling work and presentations for live deals, board meetings, pitches, and client service projects.
- Review and comment on complex legal documents such as offering documents and stock purchase agreements.
- Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or related field and three (3) years of experience in a related role, OR Bachelor’s degree in the same fields and five (5) years of experience.
- Experience interviewing senior management, reviewing strategic operating plans, and analyzing historical and projected financial performance.
- Proficiency in valuation analyses: DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution, ability‑to‑pay, public trading comparables, precedent transactions, sum‑of‑the‑parts analysis.
- Experience managing live M&A transactions, preparing deal origination pitch materials, engagement letters, marketing materials for sell‑side IPOs and equity/offering roadshows, and investor presentations.
- Experience managing due diligence, negotiating NDAs and other legal documents, and organizing roadshows.
- Strong guidance and coordination of junior professionals’ work product, financial modeling, and presentations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLookup) for large datasets.
- FINRA Series 79 license.
- Domestic travel up to 20% per year.
Annual base salary: $250,000 – $275,000.
